• Is it True that Apperture-Faster Lenses Focusing Easier?
Very often are faster lenses also better built than slower lenses (since they are bild with professional use in mind) but this is not only reason why focusing with them is faster.
Wider apperture brings shallower field of focus so it is for auto focus electronic, but also for human eye easier to detect (center of) sharpness in the image. Widest apperture also makes the image brigher in viewfinder what is great help as well. Advantage is huge and visible even for small apperture difference like f2.8 to f3.5. Posted on 16 Mar 2008
