• Nikon D200 and D40/D40x will not be discontinued
My source in Nikon Professional Reseller Network told me that there is no rush to buy D40 and D200 Nikons anywhere soon in fear they would disappear from market. Nikon is still manufacturing them (in case of D200 have large stock) and huge diversity in camera offerings only helps them to compete with Canon.
Recenly introduced D60 as well as D300 will then rather fill gaps then replace still pretty competetive cameras. Posted on 17 Feb 2008
